You are entitled to the money for the hours that you worked. They may tell you that they are witholding it because you gave no notice but they are not allowed to do this. I would start making a big fuss about it and threaten a tribunal.

The only issue you have is that if you were required to give notice they could sue you separately for breach of contract. They are unlikely to do this though as they won't want to pay the legal fees.

In general I find that the larger the company the more likely they are to give in. Small businesses take things more personally and will persue matters.

If you didnt work your notice period they are entitled to hold wages back for the equivalent hours. Sorry, but walking out before payday is not a good idea.

What did your contract say? If you were supposed to give notice they might be entitled not to pay you if you walked out. Bummer so check the wording and perhaps seek professional help (if you're in the UK you could try UCAS). Good luck.

Well, no. Any amount you have worked is regarded as yours. They are just taking a chance not paying you. Get the pay slip and demand your money girl.

If you walked out without giving notice they are well within their rights to withhold your salary
