Gary jules _ Mad world was the donnie darko main tune. It also was single handedly responsable for tears for fears trying to stage a come back. Good tune but for that alone Jules should be shot. You can get the track for free by downloading it from limewire.

It's a song originally done by tears for fears, but the version that you are referring to is a newer one done by a single artist. Sorry, I do not know his name. Very somber song.
