you can hook it up to a wireless router, if you already have one, say for a laptop. if you don't, then get a nintendo wifi usb adapter, about $15 on ebay, and plug that into you usb port. to connect the wii to the wireless router you turn onyour wii, and at the wii menu, you click on the wii icon at the bottom left of your screen. then you go to the options section, and scroll left 1 time, and click on internet. the you can find a wireless connection, a wired connection, or hook up to the nintendo usb wifi adapter. DO NOT GO BUY A WIRELESS ROUTER!!!!only use one of those if you already have one. the nintendo wifi usb adapters are much cheaper, and work just as good. it's not yet possible to hook up to a wired network, only wireless, and the usb wifi adapter, and you must have high speed dsl, but it may work with a couple of other types of internet. toward the back of the grey instruction manual that came with your wii is some great help as well. if you find my answer the best, please rate it that.

By default, the Wii connects to a WLAN (Wireless network). If you don't have a wireless base station in your home, you can
a.) get one, they're cheap. What specific type you need depends on what sort of internet connection you already have. If your PC is already connected, you should share that internet connection with your Wii. Get a Wireless Router from Netgear or something like that. Any decent electronics store carry these. Then hook up all your computers etc – and your Wii – into that and they'll be on the same network.
b.) get a nintendo usb LAN adapter and plug it into whatever network you already have. Nice idea if you already have a network at home, but no wireless.

you'll desire a Wifi router. a strong abode broadband router with Wifi will fee you about US$30-50. Your broadband modem might want to plug into that, as might want to any pcs that really have Ethernet community playing cards (you may want to apply Cat5 cable for that). Any router that helps on the spot-B networking will artwork (such as more moderen on the spot-G or on the spot-N routers, as long as they don't look to be configured for G- or N-really operation). The Wii internet Browser, also noted as the internet Channel, expenses 500 Wii factors, which equals US$5.00. it truly is a one time fee, and aside out of your accepted month-to-month internet bill, there aren't the different prices.

You can buy a Nintendo Wi-Fi USB connector which will work with a DS aswell (about £20). You just plug it in to your PC follow a few instructions and then you will soon be playing some classic games.
