Myself & two other people need a taxi from John Lennon Int. to the uni in the city, any ideas how many miles that would be & how much it would cost?

I would have said that £20 was probably too much, say £15 maximum. There is an Express bus that runs direct from the airport to the City Centre every 1/2 hr or so. Its no more than 6 miles from the city centre to the airport, and the run is direct.

Liverpool Uni is just up Mount Pleasant maybe 10 mins walk from where the bus drops you off.

There are many different uni departments in Liverpool.I would say about £15-20 in a taxi approx 8 miles into the city. Depending on what university you are going to I would not get bus number 500, instead i would get bus 80A or 86A and would cost about £1.50 each. These take about 30-40 mins into Liverpool and run about every 20 mins

The 500 bus runs every 20-30 minutes from the airport, the closest stop would be Lime Street, about a 10 minute walk away. This is £2 and is an express bus. A black cab will cost between £10 and £15

I would set aside £20 for that run

I used to live at the top of Aiagburth and it used to cost me just under £10 to get home, so I guess that would be half way.

Set aside £20 and you can get some food from Hardman Pizza with your change - if it still exists!!

Or... there is a bus, check the airports website for info
