Deer really don't need to be fed by people unless it's an unusually hard winter, which this certainly is not. Corn will just attract racoons, possums, rats, and other varmints you don't want around your house. A salt block, however, is clean and something deer will travel miles for.

Dried, cracked corn is inexpensive and easy to handle. Our local Agway sells a wild deer food.

Easier and cleaner than food might be to offer a salt lick.

The wild deer in my yard eat my bushes, trees and flowers. Try that.

They like corn real well as you can see by the answers you've already gotten. But they also eat sweet potatoes and seem to like them quite a lot. That's one of the things we use around here along with or instead of the corn.

corn. can put down apples or carrots. depends on where you're from, but sugar beet. yet my mother-in-law gives her will deer cornbread.

its best to plant shrubs and plants that they feed on shelled corn is ok but som green hay can cause problems for them in late winter its best to let them fend for their selfs they do a good job of it
