Yay! Yes it does... though I was 2cm and 90% for 40 hours with my first. When the time comes, be ready. (As best as you can) Walk and rest, you'll need as much energy as you can get. God Bless!

If you want to have the baby sooner you can do a lot of walking and that is supposed to get you to go into labor just as the old wives tale is to have sex. Your Dr. probably told you not have sex especially once you have lost your mucus plug. You know that there is 40 weeks in a pregnancy before they consider you to be to term. So, don't be surprised if you go into labor within the next few days or less. Good luck to you.
