I was thinking of wearing one. Has anyone had any experiences with these? Do they work, and what do they actually do?

I think the copper bracelet helps a little, over time, and here's the philosophy behind it: One of the causes of arthritis may be a copper deficiency.

One can take a copper supplement, but OTC they are only available, I think, in 2 mg size. That's okay, because too much copper is toxic.

One of the early signs of copper deficiency is osteoporosis. Copper is essential for the formation of collagen, which makes up the connective tissue between bones.

The most assimilateable copper comes from food. Good sources are almonds, avocados, barley, beans, beets, blackstrap molasses, broccoli, dandelion greens, garlic, lentils, liver, mushrooms, nuts, oats, oranges, pecans, raisins, salmon, soybeans, and green leafy vegetables.

If you buy a copper bracelet, make sure it is pure, soft copper (the cheap kind) and not coated with anything to keep it from tarnishing. The green ring on your wrist means it is breaking down into absorbable copper.

I used one for about 14 months and got some relief. Then started taking the supplement and it seemed to work quicker.

I prefer to take copper supplements for my osteoarthritis. I used to wear a copper bracelet and didn't feel any difference. Copper and zinc mix vitamins or just copper supplements seem to work better for me.
