Basically would Sony UK accept it to be fixed or would I have to send it back to the US. Thanks.....

They should. I have a global Mac warranty, and a global HP warranty. I guess it all depends on the one that you bought with the system.

China actually uses mains voltage of 240v so you should have no problems, especially when you will probably have a universal adapter. The only thing you have to watch out for is that if the Customs & Excise want to press the issue, you will have to pay tax on it as the limit on the goods from non-EU countries is £290.

Depends on your coverage.
I am guessing contractually no. However, Sony often has Good Customer Service, so, see if you can speak with a manager or supervisor, and even if they are not obligated, they may proceed here, and then try and bill the UK.

You would need to check out the warranty but i think you will be covered. Check up on the Sony Website .
