Yes I remember, but from the answers these people gave before me, they don't realize that the people crossing over the borders of Iraq, that are trying to stop us from finishing or intended mission in Iraq. Which was to help the Iraqi people live in a free Democratic style of government free from the reign of a tyrannical dictator. Are the exact same terrorists that flew planes into the two towers and the Pentagon. And almost flew another plane into the White House. But God rest the souls of all those Brave people who died that awful day. And God Bless our soldiers over in Iraq and Afghanistan that are trying to complete a mission against people who dress as regular citizens to infiltrate the masses to carry out their awful plots.

People keep moaning that we aren't seeking out Osama Bin Laden and they don't listen to me when I tell them a truth about our military, which is we don't know everything that they are doing and we never will. But they think it's their God given right to know everything that's going on, even when it's not, since it could endanger the men and women that are doing the more dangerous missions.

Boy do I wish people would stop thinking they deserve all details. It's like they forget with the way our media is today we are not a closed society where our enemy has to send in spies to get information. All our enemies need to do these days is to read our newspapers and watch our news stations and they can get a good idea on where our troops are deployed and what we are up to on a military basis. That's why we can't and will not know everything folks, because we cannot keep our enemies from watching our news programs.

Edit: Devil Dog - I feel President Bush is saying those things as a decoy to get Osama Bin Laden to put his guard down, so our special forces can go in and capture him. I feel Osama is smarter and craftier then Saddam Hussein and has more people willing to hide him. So we need to make him feel he isn't a priority anymore. And when we do capture him, you will understand the difference between Saddam and Osama. We will not allow Osama get the death penalty, since his death will be as a martyr and the people will revolt in his honor if he is put to death.

Absolutely, brother! We do have a reason to fight!

So, why are we supporting the man that said Osama is no longer a priority? Last I checked, Osama bin-Laden was still considered the mastermind behind the 9/11 attacks.

First, GWB want's Osama 'dead or alive':
http://archives.cnn.com/2001/US/09/17/bush.powell.terrorism/

Then, he decides he's not a top priority:
http://thinkprogress.org/2006/09/14/barnes-osama/
And if the ‘second-hand’ information isn’t sufficient, let’s turn to the official website:
From the whitehouse.gov archives:
http://www.whitehouse.gov/news/releases/2002/03/20020313-8.html

Q But don't you believe that the threat that bin Laden posed won't truly be eliminated until he is found either or alive?
THE PRESIDENT: Well, as I say, we haven't heard much from him. And I wouldn't necessarily say he's at the center of any command structure. And, again, I don't know where he is. I -- I'll repeat what I said. I truly am not that concerned about him. I know he is on the run. I was concerned about him, when he had taken over a country. I was concerned about the fact that he was basically running Afghanistan and calling the shots for the Taliban.

But, what did Iraq have to do with 9/11? Let’s look at the President’s own words.
Source: http://www.whitehouse.gov/news/releases/2003/03/20030319-1.html
Presidential Letter
Text of a Letter from the President to the Speaker of the House of Representatives and the President Pro Tempore of the Senate
March 18, 2003
Dear Mr. Speaker: (Dear Mr. President:)
Consistent with section 3(b) of the Authorization for Use of Military Force Against Iraq Resolution of 2002 (Public Law 107-243), and based on information available to me, including that in the enclosed document, I determine that:
(1) reliance by the United States on further diplomatic and other peaceful means alone will neither (A) adequately protect the national security of the United States against the continuing threat posed by Iraq nor (B) likely lead to enforcement of all relevant United Nations Security Council resolutions regarding Iraq; and
(2) acting pursuant to the Constitution and Public Law 107-243 is consistent with the United States and other countries continuing to take the necessary actions against international ists and ist organizations, including those nations, organizations, or persons who planned, authorized, committed, or aided the ist attacks that occurred on September 11, 2001.

This letter is a strong suggestion, by GWB, that Iraq was somehow involved with 9/11.

Then, we see this video:

So, who are we supposed to be fighting, again?

I want to make the s that were responsible for 9/11 pay, in … but that’s not apparently the current agenda of the current administration. And I’m basing that belief on the president’s words.

Oh, and I'm also all for destroying Saddam's regime. But I'm insulted that I was lied to by our president and his administration. I don't have a problems with the war, just the stated reasons for the war. Saddam was allowed to live 15 years longer than he should have been.

Edit: To the negative reviewers: What, should I just carefully pick and choose which of the President's words listen to? My statement was based solely on his OWN WORDS. His OWN WEBSITE (whitehouse.gov) supports my statements.
Get real. He lied to get what the wanted (and what I wanted, too; I've wanted to see Saddam ousted & for 15 years). Stop pretending he's a perfect, infallible demi-god. He broke some eggs to make the omelet. Accept the reality, and move on.

Edit #2 - Mikira, when you've spent some time in the sand, I'll be more than happy to take your opinion into consideration. However, at the moment, your post seems more like conservative talking points than independent analysis. The facts are that fewer resources & manpower are being used to pursue OBL. And all that is doing is giving him breathing room to coordinate another event.
Lulling him into a sense of security? That's ludicrous. I pray the there isn't another attack orchestrated by OBL, but rest assured, if there is, GWB will have hell to pay for not keeping this mass-murderer his #1 priority.

give up being uninteresting Kitty, i understand you're better than that. you will do good to easily seem on the solutions final night from each and all of the ABUs to work out the place the real issue lies. We had an surprising victory yet each and all of the bitter bitter human beings got here out of the woodwork, to no longer congratulate us yet to diss us and contact us names with the aid of fact we gained, great lot they are! it somewhat is a lose lose project for us. it somewhat is truly no longer us who're the crybabies, and anybody is conscious it.

If only we were fighting those that did that dastardly deed. Instead we are fighting in Iraq which had nothing to do with 9/11. I, and most others, were all in favor of attacking those that attacked us in Afghanistan but we dropped that ball and started fighting in Iraq because Bush wanted revenge for the attack on his father. But even his father knew better than to get involved in Iraq. Those against the war are not afraid of the fight, they just want us to be fighting the right people.

I remember when a bunch of Saudi Arabians of Wahabbist Al-Quaida attacked America.... but Iraq had absolutely ZERO to do with 9/11. Yet, we are now relying mainly on NATO to do the job in Afghanistan, lol!

Actually, the war on Iraq started the day Bush took office.

9/11 was just an excuse that he used to launch his lie-based war that he had been planning for years.

Where's Osama?

How did it start: Back in the 1990's the Reps were all worked up because the pres was getting head from under the presidential desk. Today the pres is screwing all our children's future.
