A street language that is creeping into our culture that we could well do without.and of course a drug and gun culture thats exploded mainly from Jamaica with yardies being the main culprits,as for the African influence thats managing to bring in many scams that extort money from people, worrying trend.

Speaking in general terms, the influence can also be seen in the USA and Canada to a lesser extent.
Rather than pick on a particular skin colour, however, let us think in terms of influence in the three countries as one of what I call urban decay. When groups have little regard for the dominant culture, sub cultures can become quite powerful.
This is a nice way to say that all, especially youth have no respect for the dominant culture begin to idolize the urban cultures and the face of the country, if not eventually its heart changes.
Fashion, music, food, tele, sports, jobs everything is influenced to some extent, and not for the better.

Music - fantastic music...
Africando
Afro-Cuban All Stars
Bob Marley and the West Indian styles too.
(and some not so fantastic stuff too, but hey, I'll live with the rap music if I'm allowed the decent rythms they've also brought!)
Some wonderful dancers...
Most of the best salsa dancers I know are black.
Go see the shows Lady Salsa or Tocororo.
Anyway, to preempt all those jingoistic caucasians out there - Britain is one of the most varied countries culturally in the world, simply because we've been invaded so many times either militarily or ethnically or both, and we've always absorbed the cultures and made them part of our own - it's just easier to delineate the inclusion this time now that there is a colour to define it.

Black culture is most evident in youth culture. The music listened to, clothes worn, the language (slang) used. From my experience growing up it seemed that black culture was almost predominate in the teenagers view of appearing cool.
More generally speaking i dont think black culture has had great influence as much as other cultures, even though it shou;d. For example there are large areas within london where the asian community dominates business and housing etc.
I think it would be nicer to see a grater black influence in britain- it would probably make the bigger cities especially london cleaner!

As a black person i can say that black culture has affected all aspects of everyday Britain.Whilst a lot of the answers crowd has focused on the negative aspects such as gun crime, black culture has a positive effect on this country as well. Its such a shame that this isn't acknowledged.
I was on the bus the other day and these two girls were speaking quite loud.Looked around, certain they were going to be black girls but they were white. They had obviously spent time with black girls, the dialect was so strong.
A lot of things in hair and beauty have been taken from black culture and been heralded as coming from British hairstylists when clearly they have not. Hair extensions, corn rows even the hair straightener were being used by black people long before Nicky Clarke & co jumped on the band wagon. In fashion,it is clear that not just black culture but asian culture has an influecne.
Also in music, whilst they arent british JT and JLO and the diva herself Mariah Carey have had phenomenol succes when they have teamed up with prominent r 'n' b producers/ writers.
Yes there are a lot of negatives in the black communtiy but isnt that the same in ALL communties. Unfortunately, the positive aspects of life in the black community go mostly unreported. Apart from sportsman and a few black celebs, there are many black achievers who just get on with their jobs and are influencing us without us realisng it. Lets embrace ALL positive aspects of all cultures and leave out the negative ones

black people have influenced Britians,
Language, : In the 1900's before a large amount of black people immigrated to the UK, the typical english accent would be that of the queen or the priminister for example. Now, slang has incooperated itself into everyday language.
The others remain unchanged, it is just the natural change of preference.

It grew to become into Geezer Butler's acid journeys. He grew to become into handed out of tripping on acid while he had the imaginitive and prescient of a creature in black appearing to him in his goals and that's the place they have been given the muse for the music Black Sabbath and changing their call from Earth to Black Sabbath. So if something, unlawful narcotics have been Black Sabbath's best effect.

There are hardly any black people in my part of Britain (Scotland). I'd say if they've had any influence at all it's been in England/Wales.
