If you have an idea you want to pitch for a TV show, how do you go about doing so?

I would like to know who to submit an idea to within a television network? What is the title of this person within the network? I dont think just sending a letter to ABC, CBS or NBC without having a specific name will work.

May I suggest getting the book "The Cool Fire" by Bob Shanks. It should be available at any good sized public library. Inside you'll find instructions concerning presenting a concept to a broadcaster. BTW, I expect executive producer credit in return for this advice! ;-)
