I have a 4 room setup, with a normal 2 LNB and a 6x8 Switch. This was done by professional install. The only one that works correctly is in the bedroom, the rest cut out and say searching for service. Anyone have any help?

It was a move, so I don't believe it's warranty. The cables come in and go into the switch, then the switch splits it to the 4 rooms. Should I just try replacing the cable?

I have 2 DVR Recievers, and 2 regular, which is 6 cables in all. This was installed within the last year in one town, but when we moved we left the dish there as instructed, and the installer brought a dish. Guess he brought and old one. It's the round dish, with 2 cables connected to it.

First, the 2 LNB satellite is old and not used anymore. How long ago was this move & install? If it was recent the installer should have replaced your old dish with a new 3 LNB dish. This dish has 4 outputs so you won't need the 6x8 and you could run a straight connection form your dish to your receivers since you have 4 receivers. If this was a recent install this would be free.

Update: Ok, since you have 6 lines then you do need the 6x8 but that dish is old. You need a newer 3 LNB dish to get more channels. But that may not be the problem. You may have a faulty 6x8 switch, bad cables, or bad connectors. Check the connections at the recievers and at the 6x8 to make sure they are connected tightly.

If this is a new installation, you're still under warranty. I'd contact the Direct TV technical help department and have them schedule a return visit by a tech. I have a new single room HD installation from Direct TV and I received the same trouble message however my problem turned out to be a filter that they installed on my antenna line. The tech told me this filter had been giving them problems. Your problem could be the switch box output or the cable between it and the other rooms. If you have a signal in your bedroom, is this room one of the outputs of the switch box or is it the first "stop" for the incoming antenna lead before going to the switch box? Without more detail on your setup it's hard to diagnose over the net, that's why a return visit by the group who installed it would be my suggestion.
