Saddam is the villain.

If you do not know the difference
a. MOVE to Iraq by your hero's grave
b. Tell yourself - or let me tell you - that you do not deserve our troops and our President protecting your sorry butt from terrorists.

Saddam is the worst, but with him out of the way, Bush is moving up the list of 'worse villains in the world'.

There are a couple of similarities between the two:

- keeping prisoners of war without fair trial and legal representation
- starting and conducting war without being provoked against international law

Don't get me wrong, Saddam was bad business, but Bush is no saint either.

This is not even close.

I am a Demo but not foolish enough to claim that the Prez is a villain in the same as Saddam.

Objectively read anything about Saddam from one of several human rights groups.

Read about what happened during the Al Anfal campaign. It is chillingly similar to Hitler and the Nazi's evil campaigns.

"All that is necessary for the triumph of evil is that good men do nothing." (Edmund Burke) Well, in this case, good men did stand up to evil. The world is a better place because we did.

Let's see....
Insane dictator with a god complex who posed an imminent threat to the geopolitical stability of the entire planet: applies equally to both.
After assuming power, threw caution to the wind and charged ahead on own course, driving country into ground in process: applies equally to both.
Brought country into pointless war, costing thousands of soldiers their lives even though basis for war was personal whim: applies equally to both.
Ordered enemies to be secretly tortured: applies equally to both.

At least Saddam ran his own country, instead of letting his VP do the important work while he looked around for the teleprompter.

Both are, Saddam for killing his own people and starting wars with Kuwait and Iran and George Bush for taking us to war based on his lies.

They have very similar traits, but Saddam was worse - but he is now dead.
