Because PA has 503 separate school districts, it varies widely. In small rural districts, somewhere around minimum wage; in larger districts, maybe twice that. Also depends on the duties. You won't get rich, but it's a good job if you like working with kids, etc. And if you are full-time, the benefits are good. When I was a board member in a small rural district, we would sometimes have people apply for jobs like custodian, cafeteria worker, etc. telling us they would work for no pay -- just the health benefits. That's a hell of an indictment of our country, and of course we couldn't do it because of contracts, etc. . . . but it does point up once more that the benefits are good!
