The cable for connecting my printer to the computer wont go in. It screws in but the little pins dont go in the little holes. Are there different sizes of printer cable things?

With the pins I am guessing its a serial port of some kind. Make sure the pins and spaces are in the right spots. Some of the machines have multiple serial ports on them for different applications. Make sure your connecting a male and a female port. (pins to holes) Look for a picture on the side of the serial port on the computer for a printer icon. Is it the same connector that came with the printer?

what kind of printer are you using? if it is brand new or the model is 2002 and above try to use a USB connection it is faster and easier to connect.

its highly likely that the pins are a little bent
if the ports look like they match they match, as if it was different it will be visible easily,
try adjusting the pins if they look bent
