Many say that your decorations should not be up past New year day. Most people I know take them down within the first week. 1st -7th of January. Don't be that person who has Christmas decorations up in April.

I put mine up at least 6 weeks before christmas then take them down around 6 weeks after christmas. I love my house when all the decorations are up and I don't want to loose that christmas feeling so I leave them for as long as possible. I would leave them up all year round if my wife let me.

I would certainly not worry about it my wife and I always do so just after New Years. It is a time that we are together and able to do so. It is wonderful to be able to do this together and I don't think that the neighbors mind very much. Christ was NoT BoRn then anyway and this is a man-made holiday. The only Christian Holiday that we celebrate is the Lord's Day as we are told to partake of the LORD's SUPPER and to give as we have been prospered. GOD has told us in the New Testament that those are to be done. HE is more important than any man-made custom anyway. Have a great weekend and share the GOOD NEWS with your neighbors as you are able.

Well, I put my tree up on November 24th and I took it down on December 27 or 28. I took all of my indoor decorations down on the 27 or 28 as well but my lights outside are still up but I didn't light them after boxing day except for new years eve.
