You subconscious mind. That's the part of the mind/brain that takes in all the information that your logical, thinking side doesn't grasp right away. Like, if you are walking down the street, and you see, (out of the corner of yor eye) a piece of paper on the ground, but you don't really acknowledge it. Then the next time you walk down that street, or one very similar, if you LOOK and SEE the paper, your subconscious will "tell" you this has "happened" before. It's hard to explain, but it's all what's stored in the subconscious comming to your "logical", "thinking" side of the brain.

When you experience something that is similar to something you have experienced at another time in your life you feel a moment of recognition, but because our memories are limited that's as far as it goes. I think this also applies to dreams. Think of all the dreams you have. Aren't you bound to encounter a place that is at least mildly similar to a place you "encountered" in a dream? If you have a very vivid dream about driving down a road with marsh on either side and then a year or so later you drive down a road with marsh on either side you might experience a feeling of de javu. The dream was not a prediction it was a coincidence and a matter of statistics.

Deju is when you have that moment of recognizing that you have done that or seen that place before. Its from the subconcious mind. I have deju flashes all the time but its because i dream a lot. I was reading an article that said its because of the past that we have future deju flashes but then that does not explain why when i dream of something and then it happens and i have never seen it before. The scientific community will say its the brain and all that but the spirituality community will say its spiritual in nature. I only know it happens to me all the time. I dont care what anyone else thinks i just know its saved me from making future mistakes and its kept me from being in danger. Thats all i need to know

I believe that we have three parallel lives, namely: destiny, fate and present. Well these lines are not all straight. When your lines are crossing that is when you experience de ja vu. That is the point where you can change your destiny. But you cannot change your fate. I believe it is like a cross road in your life where you must choose.

It is from one of your eyes seeing an image micro-seconds before the other eye does, your brain has already compiled a memory of that image before the second eye sees it.
