Your doc should have filled you in on this, but the short answer is yes it is normal to have a very heavy period after a D&C

To the previous poster-the doc/nurse probably did fill her in but aftear waking from anesthesia, it is sometimes hard to remember things!
The short answer to the question like the previous poster stated is yes you will have a couple bad periods after a D&C. It is normal. I am currently having the same issue! I had a D&C on 12-18, and am having the worst period of my life! Taking NSAIDS like ibuprofen will help with the pain!
