I like to watch romantic animes. I have watched Full Moon wo Sagashite and Fushigi Yuugi. I would like to watch more sad ones. Can you tell me? Thank you. If possible, please tell me how many episodes each anime have. Please name as many as you know. THANKS!! (^^)

I would recommend the following:
Loveless - If you aren't bothered by the fact that it's a series filled with mostly bishounen, then this is a sad series with a few romantic points. It's about a boy whose brother dies mysteriously. Then, one day a grown man shows up at his door telling him that it was actually a murder and that his brother had sent him for protection.
Gravitation- This a very cute romantic show, but it is shounen-ai. There's nothing graphic, but it's a great story for proving the point that you can't help who you fall in love with.
Suichi is an aspiring rock star that falls for a romance novelist after he bashes his song lyrics during a chance meeting at the park.
Fruits Basket - Honestly, this is just one of the best anime series ever created. Even though the animated series leaves a lot out, it is still cute, sad, and romantic all at the same time.
Tohru Honda is living in a tent after the death of her mother. She is soon discovered by the owners of the land, the Somas. Upon meeting this family she soon finds out they have a curse. To turn into animals whenever they are hugged by a member of the opposite sex.
Blue Seed - This one is more of a police drama with a romantic undertone. Basically, there is a threat of these really nasty plants attacking Japan, and the only thing that can get rid of them is the blood of a certain girl. It is the job of a special agency to protect her from this fate.
You should try those, they are very good and all available on DVD.

Rumbling Hearts/Kiminozo (14 Episode) Excellent.
SaiKano (13 Episode + 1 Mov) Definately a worthwhile.
Elfen Lied (13 Episode) - It's more yeah, look this one up.
Chrono Crusade (24 Episode) - It's more action/romance/sad...
Gankutsuou (24 Episode) - action/drama/romance/sad...
Those 5 are my favorite tragic romances.

I recommend you Air(13 ep) Ayashi no ceres (from Fushigi Yugi team 26 ep) chobbits (clamp 26 ep) Grave of Fireflies (not romantic but sad indeed, 1 movie)

Sad and romantic... I would say Rurouni Kenshin... At the beginning is ok but at the end (or in the OVA) is really sad.....

elfen lied is good parts are sad that tug on your heartstrings, but it's pretty gory and some nudity and good love story also.

try SAMURAI X:REFLECTION (this is OVA. it was so sad. :( i cry when i watch it) paradise kiss, nana, emma a victorian romance.
