Dear C live, its probably too late cause you wont look at this, but, whatever. I agree that all races are equal BUT what do you do if you have to do an assignment pertaining to (I have NO CLUE what to put here that won't piss you off, so I'll just say African Americans) and your supoused to talk about when they got their rights, What? Are you suppoused to say "I am sorry teacher, I cannot do this assignment because it seperates people?" Or, I suppouse you can say "I cannot do research because No matter WHAT I call African Americans, its offensive. I was not annoyed, at you (though I am now) I am just wondering WHAT THE HELL ARE WE SUPPOUSED TO SAY WHEN WE WANT TO ASK A QUESTION ABOUT AFRICAN AMERICAN HISTORY? I suppouse black history month offends you?

I mean, you are just human beings like Orientals cacausans or who ever, BUT dude, I can't just say "When where people allowed to vote in AMerica?" Then you might tell me when the first election took place, or whatever.

It is sad to see so many ignorant people these days instead of just calling a black person a person, human being, or even an American you have to put African American we are just as normal and have the right to be here as you people do!

It is frustrating for those of us who want to be respectful. The acceptable term has changed so many times. When I was a child (in days of old when knights were bold) the proper term was "colored" then we had *****, Black, Afro-American, African American and probably others. I mean no disrespect, but other groups are not referred to by their origins. The challenge is to allow color-blindness and work together in harmony.

No YOU are not ignorant. The African Americans don't know if they want to be called Black, Colored or African American the N word is totally taboo, but they are the ones who what so much, THEY need to make up there minds what they want to be considered being called,Not us. Most of the black people I know they want to be considered African Americans. Good luck with this one you probably will never know, they are never happy no matter what you say or do.Sorry that you have to walk on EGG SHELLS.

AFrican American is only proper if the person is from Africa. But many blacks are not from africa and oppose the term.

I don't like the hyphenation. I prefer black. Its just easier to say. But it doesn't matter what you call it really, *****, colored, African American, neggar, it makes no difference to me.

Your NOT ignorant... some minorities are power tripping, thats all. There will never be a politically correct way to describe someones skin color. Don't let it bother you.
