It's bad to eat food that potentially contain mercury, which is commonly found in albacore tuna as well as some other fish that are caught in deep ocean waters. do research online about what foods may contain mercury and avoid those.

Some seafood is not safe to eat while pregnant. Sushi for starters. I am not sure of the others. You should do a search of what is safe to eat. Iam 9 weeks pregnant, and just found out sliced deli meat is not too good either. Due to the risk of bacteria on the slicer. Also, tuna in moderation, due to mercury.

the only thing that you have to worry about when eating seafood is the ones with mercury. As long as you listen to your dr. and go by his instructions then you can have seafood.

Sushi is out of the question, as is anything raw (tuna, oysters, etc.). But fully cooked, well prepared white fish is good and can be eaten. Crustaceans are "bottom feeders" which means they are higher in pollutants, etc. but you can still eat them cooked and in moderation.
