Thank you for this question! It has helped me see names in an entirely different light, and now I will be able to imagine my son in the name I choose for him. This is a great way of picking your child's name, because you are able to appreciate it yourself. I had been invisioning my son's name to be Walker until I read this.
Anyway, answering the question, I would choose Stephan as my male name.

My mother was going to call me Terry if I had been a boy, I told her it would have worked for me as a girl too! She named me after her best friend though, so thats sweet! :)
