You could insert 'fear', but your question isn't clear. You haven't given the context in which this sentence appears. There are several words that could be used, but the context before and after would help is choosing the most appropriate word to insert!

If you mean to say "a cold is something I can do without", then the phrase with the blank isn't worded correctly ... the two examples you give are completely different!

ABHORRENCE : (which means:) A feeling of extreme repugnance or aversion; utter loathing; abomination. This fits with the sentence structure you have given. People probably wouldn't know what you are talking about, but that's the benefit of a strong vocabulary in English!

You could probably use Intolerance which means incapacity or indisposition to bear or endure.
