it all depends on your choice, theyre both cleaner than gas. my friend has converted his car to lpg. i think the price of lpg would be more stable than cng. most public buses around here run on cng. wish i could tell you more.

CNG, compressed natural gas , has a lower heat value and will require more storage tanks for a given range , LPG, liquefied petroleum gas , or propane has better heat value , (still lower than gasoline) and will require less tankage than CNG. engines love LPG , you can put on a turbo or supercharger and give it enough boost to blow your rods and the engine will not pre-ignite , so if you have computer management with spark advance it will be able to run full advance , the piston engine sees " unlimited " octane . also your oil stays clean and your plugs cannot foul, i have LPG on my Ford f250 with a 6.6 L engine, i could not afford to run it with gasoline , it uses 300L LPG to go 1500 km. through the mountains and @ 120 km/hr on the flats , hope this helps

LPG is not legal in mumbai as it is used 4 hushed purposes and therefore it is subsidized. CNG is the only option you have. CNG is also used 4 taxis nd rikshas. check the kit before u install.
