Mumbai's only planned Satellite town is called Navi Mumbai which has broad road, zonnig regulations, shopping malls and all other facilities.

Which starts from Vashi on the main land and lasts up to Khar Ghar which is about 20 Kms long and from Parsik Hill to Raigad Dist of about 10 Kms width.

SOme of chronic problems of Mumbai like over flowing storm water drains during monsoon, conjested road traffic, honking are all avoided by planning here

Navi Mumbai (Kharghar Sburb) and of course Pune which is just 3 hrs far by road, & nasik which will be the new satellite city.
