he started out fine, but fame and money have gotten into his head, so now he's just plainly full of it.

Everyone kisses the BIG BACKSIDE of Shaq. Having been a Laker fan my whole life, I have some strong feelings about this. Shaq is the anti- Barry Bonds. Shaq loves the media, he loves the attention and therefore the media treats him like royalty. So when things went bad between him and Kobe it was Kobe's fault, regardless what the problem was. So Kobe was to blame for their bad relationship, and the break-up of the Lakers Dynasty, and the alleged rape didn't help anything. In turn Kobe decided to say forget it, and played like he was a one-man show and the Lakers suffered. This further pushed Kobe from the hearts of people. He is coming back and will be loved again before it is all over. Kobe is the best all around player in the NBA. When the Lakers win again all will be forgiven. My biggest problem is with Shaq. Let us not forget that he also alienated Penny Hardaway when Penny was young. That is Shaq's M.O. I can't wait till Kobe gets a ring without him. I never liked the idea of getting Shaq and I am glad to see him go. I just wish that he would get officiated right so everyone can see what a terrible basketball player he is. I blame most of Kobe's problems on Shaq.

It's all about the attitude, MJ learned early on in his career it wasnt all about him no matter how talented he was. Then he proceeded to show it, he became a great team player, and he made everybody around him better, especially when scottie pippen came around, I watched this dvd once, and there was a whole section about how MJ taught scottie everything he knows, and then they showed actual game footage of jordan making a move, and then they would show a clip of scottie making the exact same move. Jordan became a mentor to his team mates and he became a nice guy, He even got in trouble once over a gambling thing, but he kept his head held high and worked through that, where as Kobe kinda whined and paid his way out of it, whether or not the girls story was true about rape he did admit to cheating on his wife. Kobes still kind of young so hes not past hope, but untill he learns the right attitude and starts acting more like Dwayne Wade and Steve Nash do, respectful, helpful to everybody, works well with the media, hes always gonna be hated.

Thats a good point about Shaq and that is why some people dont like em...but ive always hated Shaq and I still think Kobe had problems

I don't hate Kobe. I DO think it was kind of shitty about the breakup of the Lakers. He can't really do ANYTHING without a big man. I would say he can't do anything without Shaq, but look at Shaq now. He's always getting hurt. So even if he was with the Lakers, Kobe would STILL be doing most of it himself. I'm a HUGE Shaq fan. Kobe was being charged with rape , which is NEVER good. Kobe is a very good player. Not as good as MJ but still good. If he finds another big man, like maybe Big Baby Davis from LSU, then I think he will help his team return to the playoffs and maybe even a championship run.

First of all, he didn't rape the chick. He's a tall dark (good looking?) rich famous guy. He could get so many chicks easy. So it doesn't make sense that he would rape a chick. Second yes he has the reputation of not being a team player, but you should see him lately he really seems to have a change in attitude and is giving the ball up like all the time. So I don't see any reason for people having a problem with him. He needs another player with talent on his team to help him out and he could then earn the Lakers another ring.

Shut up with the Kobeand Jordan remarks. The reason people hate him is because the public make it seem as if Kobe is the BEST player in the NBA. Yeah, Kobe....so what? Let him be who he is. He is a skilled player.

I guess it's because the rape thing. People expects him to be the next MJ.

O yea, it's also because he's a helluva player and he's always picking apart other teams.

Basically, if you're not a Lakers or a Kobe fan. You'll hate Kobe. Period.

People dislike Kobe because they mistake his confidence for arrogance. People can't stand when your the best in the game and you KNOW it. Most people are intrinsically haters like that.
