This didn't happen to me but my best friend and I'm just not sure how to help him cause he acts like I should tell him to leave her but I don't want to be the reason they split-up...I've told him it's his life and he should do what HE thinks is best. I just don't like seeing him in turmoil over this.

Well, this is the first time I've ever quoted Dr. Phil, but I like his expression, "You're not what you did; you are what you're doing." In other words, like one other person wrote, deal with the person in the present. If this person used to be very emotionally sick but today is very healthy, then the past shouldn't deter you from moving forward. But if the person still shows signs of being "off," then perhaps it's best to go your own way.

To be honest, if I had a gf who had done that, I'd have a REALLY hard time getting past that. It must have taken a lot of guts to tell someone that information....There is such a thing as keeping some sruff to yourself. It would depend somewhat on the circumstances under which the incest occurred (only one time or ongoing, the age it happened, consensual or forced etc.). SIbling incest is a lot more common than most people realize.

If there is nothing going on between then now, then maybe whatever it was is behind him. People make mistakes and learn from them. It was a sick thing to do, but we also don't have a whole lot of details about the circumstances involved, so it's hard to say.

I would be freaked out a lot. I would be wondering why they chose to tell you that. Its not something to brag about. How old were they when it happened? Where the hell were their parents?

Well that's kind of weird, if you love them and\or have strong feelings for them and were assured that it would never happen again, then it might be alright.

I prefer to deal with people in present. Better to deal with people for what they are and not they were.

incest is definatly not best..i would find it very weird that someone had sex with their brother/sister, and i would break it off

not if they did it as adults..if they were kids...it would be messed up but who knows what was going on ......I guess I would need more information to really know what I would do...good luck
