Tell the truth in your interview; if you are uncomfortable w/some nasty stranger patting your butt while you sever him peanuts and coffee then let them know. I'm sure the airlines don't tolerate that sort of behavior from their customers in this day and age! Good Luck w/your interview!

If its a question of how comfortable you would feel , then you can well express your disdain / consent but in a subtle way.

Yes surely, in a hindu / islamic society it is certainly not considered good etiquette, which you can explain to the interview panel. Coz ultimately you have your individuality and bearings of your culture and upbringing. there is no harm in telling them that it is not suitable to your culture.

If however you are asked that how you will respond to such a gesture then according to your own choice you can say "Excuse me" if you are not comfortable. or just smile if its ok with you.

I do not know which airlines it is.

Being patted on any part of my body without my consent is offensive, and same is true of what you pointed out.

You should report all such misconduct and in no way tolerate it!
