No difference that I can see. But I think tumble driers leave the clothes pretty soft anyway. The packaging said that you could save energy by drying for less time, so I did the calculation, a load that normally takes 40 minutes I cut down by 5 and it still wasn't dry. You could buy them , keep the receipt and if they don't do what the say for you, return them (unfortunatly I had thrown my receipt away...)

Do you mean the ones to make your clothes softer? As an experiment I got an old cloth nappy, washed it and then tried to make it less stiff by pummelling it hard. It did make a big difference. After a minute or two it was soft. I guess the balls work on the same principle.

I have dryer balls and I don't know why My mom bought some then sent them to my house. What they do? Not sure but I use them.

yes, they are great, especially for my blanket which is made like a down comforter but is filled with something other than feathers since I am allergic but one warning, just don't use them with sweaters!

i havent tried those ones...but have tried dearer ones...they drag threads out of your clothes and leave them bally.
