I only have an associate's degree, but i've got 10 years experience teaching English at different schools in se Asia.

I cannot recommend Japan and Thailand. "English teacher" in these countries would mean a kind of a work for lower echelon, and people (especially among gaijin or farang society) think/treat you so. Hong Kong or Singapore can be a better place if you teach English with English accent. I also think Taiwan is the best choice as there is less demand in Indonesia or Malaysia. I do not know about other Asian countries.

Depends on what you're looking for. I personally enjoyed Taiwan because it is a little more western, but if you're looking for an experience, China is a cool place to spend some time. I wouldn't recommend Japan unless the company you're working for provides housing, and even then it's a bit pricey to live there.
