Yes I do.
With love, commitment and hard work it can.
On one of the wedding forums I used to be a member of before, there where several couples who had long distance relationships. From being in different states to being in different continents.
They all said it was hard, but they made it work anyway.

Hello Db,
I suppose you won't know until you try. And if you have feelings for this person then perhaps you should. Trouble is when you have feelings its very hard to be separated from the person you have feelings for. I think you should try anyway. I hope you make a go of it. x
I have to say that the person above called tempted makes a very good point. To have a full blown relationship you need that regular physical interaction as well. Tempted made me think, If this is an Internet relationship then you need to be very sure. I have known of lots of people flitting from relationship to relationship on the Internet, and from what I can tell it's really unhealthy leaving people damaged. You have to be really sure they are trustworthy Db, because commitments is a massive step.

As they say, distance makes the heart grow fonder but it also makes the heart forget.
If both parties are commited to do things not to forget, then yes, a long distance relationship would work.

Yes it is very possible. I am speaking from past experiences. My boyfriend and I was only going out a year before he went back to his country for 9months, but we didnt know how long it would be when we would see eachother or even again, anyway, he came back 9months later. We are still together until this day, we;ve been together 5 years this May. Even last year, I went to live in America for 3months and it worked fine. If you believe its gonna work and you and your partner REALLY want it to work, then it will work. It only depends on you and ur partner....

I'm not saying that it won't work because it happened before. But really, for how long?
Most long distant relationships don't work because there don't seem to be an aim, no hope that you guys are going somewhere and without that lil hope, it dies.

Only if you are open to the possibility of your partner being able to do whatever the hell they want without you ever necessarily finding out. If that is the case, then yes.
