I am very pleased! The basic cultures of these two nations are European and the peoples' self-esteem and economies will be enhanced by being a part of the EU vice standing alone as Balkan oddities.

I believe the move will go a long way in strenghtening the economies of the 2 countries . However l also believe the hope of the EU to have a strong and united Europe will not be totally achieved as long as Turkey is denied membership.

For me It doesn't really make any difference as I have Bulgarian and British nationality, but for the other Bulgarians the EU membership will turn out to be a knife with two sharp edges.

Politically this equals 2 a more stable Balcan Peninsula and more sane commercial treaty for my country–Greece.-
