5,8-dimethyl-4-(2-hydroxyethyl)-1-nonene
As I read your structure, I think that the hydroxyethyl group is one carbon number 4.

Be sure to 2x check the actual structure.

Yes, that's the IUPAC name. Just google the individual compound's molecular formula and see what pops up.

4-(2-hydroxyethyl)-5,8- dimethyl-1-nonene

Donot consider the space between 8-dimethyl, I gave it to post the WHOLE name!!

It should also be according to alphabetical order of ring attachments........Docrider apparently forgot that!

consider 'm' of methyl and 'h' of hydroxyethyl
di prefix is not considered!

Longest chain is 9 membered thus nonene.
