Emerson, Lake & Palmer - Incredibly talented trio
Sly & The Family Stone - Check out their performance at Woodstock. They kicked ***!
Chicago - First 6 Albums, no one has done, or is doing, what they did. Just incredible!
Beatles - Of course...
Crosby, Stills & Nash - It's a federal law, you have to listen to these guys...
Scorpions - Very talented and challenging
Monkees - Okay, everybody has to have one "veg" band, but the writers were the best
Neil Young - Makes you think
ZZ Top - Only when the beer's cold
Preservation Hall Jazz Band - Dixieland's cool!
The Ventures - Book 'em Danno...
Rush - Neil Pert rocks!
Van Halen - Only when the neighbors are gone, turn it up!
Led Zeppelin - Only the best
Queen - Rock with brains
J. Geils - Only from the live album Full House
Allman Brothers - How can you not listen to Whippin Post?
Asia - Carl Palmer play drums, I have to listen to them
Enya - She's intelligent and I am in touch with my feminine side
Joe Cocker - He defined Emotion
Kansas - Any band with the balls to name themselve that is okay by me!
Mott the Hoople - Great music with a sense of humour
Humble Pie - Hide the woman and Children, kick *** with a sledge hamer
REO (Speedwagon) Great guitar band of the '70's - '80's "Ridin' the Storm Out
Styx - Am I the only one that likes them?
As far as a favourite type, it's easier to say that i'm not too fond of Gregorian Chant, and Chambre Music. That crap they call rap and hip hop, that I call "partial music," and country you can have, but most everything else (pre 1983) I can give a listen to.

indie/ alternative/ punk/ emo/ screamo/ grunge/ power pop/ rock.
Fav bands are: Dresden dolls, My Chemical Romance, Fall out boy, Taking back sunday, Foof Fighters, Nirvana, Pearl Jam, The Raconteurs, The Pink Spiders, Franz Ferdinand, Keane, Snow Patrol, Death Cab for Cutie, From First to last, Ok Go, Good Charlotte, The Killers, Flyleaf, The All-American Rejects, The Academy is. Umm.. and that's the choice of music I like to listen to coz I can relate to the lyrics in these genres easily and because they can help get through rough times. Especially Nirvana I ough a lot to their music.

I listen to a lot of progressive rock and metal, including Pain Of Salvation, Porcupine Tree, Opeth, Green Carnation, Spock's Beard, The Gathering, Andromeda, Age Of Nemesis, Symphony X, Spiral Architect, etc.
I try and steer clear of musicians on the larger record labels when it's possible, considering the largest record labels treat consumers like absolute crap and have no respect for them at all. (Point in case --> The CEO from Universal Music called all iPod owners a bunch of thieves in an interview a few months back.)

I like a lot of artists and music, ranging anywhere from rock to pop. I don't like country, clasical, heavy, or opera.

I LOVE the BSB - I know many people think they suck... but I adore them. Their tunes and the way they sing is really very good.
I also like Linkin Park, Evanescence, Dido, Celine Dion, Westlife, etc
