It has to do with DC (Direct Current) vs AC (Alternating Current).
Direct current (DC) is electrical current which flows consistently in one direction. The current that flows in a flashlight or another appliance running on batteries is direct current.
One advantage of alternating current is that it is relatively cheap to change the tension of the current. Furthermore, the inevitable loss of energy that occurs when current is carried over long distances is far smaller with alternating current than with direct current.

Where as:
Alternating Current (AC) is a type of electrical current, in which the direction of the flow of electrons switches back and forth at regular intervals or cycles. Current flowing in power lines and normal household electricity that comes from a wall outlet is alternating current. The standard current used in the U.S. is 60 cycles per second (i.e. a frequency of 60 Hz); in Europe and most other parts of the world it is 50 cycles per second (i.e. a frequency of 50 Hz.).

The flow of electrons in dc current is from negative terminal to positive terminal of battery When electrons are flow from battery to wire from the negative terminal of battery is highly
negatively charged and when the wire is touched to the terminal the negatively charged terminal push the electrons in the wire and so by pushing the electrons from one atom to another the other end of the wire is highly neg-ly charged & when we close the circuit by any resistance the energy of flowing electrons is consumed ( which depends upon the type of the resistance) and then the electrons pass towards the positive terminal and it consumed all by positively charged terminal of battery the emf of battery is then going to be with less emf and in the charging of battery the electron from the positive terminal to negative terminal .The flow of electrons where the source of emf is dynamo is somewhat different in some aspects becoz in dynamo the negative and positive terminal is depend upon the pole of the magnet pole
and due to the rotation of coil with respect to magnet the electrons are pulled in one direction according to the right hand rule so the electrons are pulled in one direction and the total no of electrons in the system remain same and this process is going on untill the dynamo stops.I will explain more about current lon some otherday

There is no much difference in flow of electrons other than CONSTANT FLOW of electrons from LOW TO HIGH POTENTIAL.

it is like -
water flows from high level to low level ;
electrons flow from high potential to low potential;
( even in nature, everything find a path of low resistance!!!)
hope it explains-
