use the energy you used towards anger towards something else (preferably positive). So if you start to get angry- write a story or poem about it (if that's what you're good at). or try to build something, etc. (this is of course after inhaling (breathing in) for seven slow counts and exhaling (breathing out) for 10 slow counts. Anger doesn't need to be a bad thing (hence the term, righteous anger). it's the energy that warriors feed off of.

Now, if none of this works, try going to a doctor because it could be neurological or hormonal or something else. good luck

If your anger is directed at other people, I'll tell you what works for me. First, I tell myself that I've forgiven them. They can't continue to hurt you unless you keep them present in your life but continuing to be angry with them. Think about it. It doesn't make sense to harbor anger against someone. When you do, you keep that person with you all of the time. It doesn't hurt them. It does hurt you. In your mind, you keep living that moment over and over again thinking that somehow you're going to pay them back as long as you keep your anger stirred up.

The second thing that is very powerful is to realize that no one can truly hurt you unless you let them. I'm of the belief that anything and everything that has ever or will ever happen to me is going to work out for my good in the end.

This may be a strange answer to you but we get angry because we feel someone or something has done something to us or someone we care about. I have a pretty simple answer: People who get angry easily see the world as against them. They think they have to fight for everything.......they don't want to be someones victim. My take on that is STOP BEING A VICTIM!!!!! Only you can let people make you feel like that. You definitely can't fight your way out of being a victim, argue, rage, squabble....etc. You can only do your best and allow yourself to feel okay with that. It is up to you. The world will make you feel less than you are if you let it. The next time something makes you angry....just chalk it up to ignorance and know in your heart it just doesn't matter. You know who you are.....so walk away and have a little laugh at the absurdity of it all.
