I have an HP laptop with 1 gig of RAM, a 100gb hdd with 46gb remaining, a core duo 1.73Ghz and 533mhz FSB. Bought it in august
When I'm working on it, it becomes really slow for about 8-10 seconds and becomes all right again. it happens every 10-15 minutes.
I scanned for spyware and viruses, but my system's clean.

HI i wud suggest a way... open up task manager and keep it in ur view when u are working.open the processes tab in it and keep it in your view..

now when the problem arises, give a good look at the processes involved and the amount of memory they take. Now observe the processes that take up more memory at that point of time and see wether you can get what it is... just end that process and continu ull have a good smoothe session ahead.

More to this make a note of these processes and do the following
Start--> Run type msconfig . in that go to the startup tab. In that try to find out the processes u have writtn down. If they are there, delete them and reboot ur system. U ll have a hassle free system........
