What have you learned during the experience?

I've learned, it's not just a tank full of water, fish can be very personable, and i get very attached to my fish. Fishkeeping is about water chemistry, and proper husbandry, and a lot of research, but I love it, and I will always have fish in my home.

It is much too easy to make mistakes, and there just aren't enough books or internet sites about fishkeeping to avoid that....

I learned that we are really not keeping fish, but its the WATER we keep thats most important. The fish are the bonus, and great water means great fish.

that you can't know everything and that no matter how much experience you have, you can still lose a tank full of fish
