They are elitists.They believe that they are right and no one should be allowed to criticize any of what they say or put forward.What astounds me is that so many buy this prepackaged crap at face value but never open it to see that it s just crap.
The whole last election they had no issues,the American people made up their own and the Democrats just said we are for change and the voters assumed they were addressing the issues they had made up.
We have become a nation of mindless consumers,if it's advertised we buy it,the flashier the package the more it sells.To many pay no attention to anything until election time and two weeks before hand they notice these people for the first time and see only the package,they vote for the shiniest and put it away unopened.
I hope Cindy hounds them in every newspaper and on every channel.I think she is dead wrong in her views but she has the ability to be their Saddam.A convenient ally at the time but now that they have made her strong she has turned on them.

I'm a moderate. I think Bush could have given Sheehan at least a second meeting in Crawford for at least 5 or 10 minutes since her son was killed in Iraq. He could have diffused the situation, and could have presented a "kinder and gentler" (sound familiar?) image to the nation. I think she's a bit of a quack, but she could have been pushed into being a raging leftist by the death of her son. She's still a citizen of the US and has all the rights (and responsibilities) to protest. But, if she breaks any laws, such as trespassing or interrupting Congress, throw her in jail. She's been there quite a bit lately.
As for Fox, his issue is legitimate. He's dying. He believes in stem cell research. He's just stating his case. Rush Limbaugh has been making some bad judgment calls for quite a while now. He did it again, thinking Fox was "faking" his tremors and tics. Again, he's got a right to say what he wants. Just like Rush does. But to misidentify a person as being a "fake" due to his illness is a low blow and makes right-wingers look like they are insensitive, uncaring, hateful and deceitful.
Again, I'm not a liberal. I'm right smack dab in the middle.

Cindy Sheehan is not any victim of the `left'.She is an individual and a mother who is demanding an explanation for her son's premature death in Mideast Asia. Like many others she cannot digest the current `state of exception' in US.Yet,it's only when a war is on that parents have to bury their children.Beyond a limit, it is embarrasing to ask such a question.

It is because they realize that there are so many people out there who THINK of themselves as victims and CHOOSE to be victims instead of wanting to be responsible adults and this appeals to many individuals. This mentality is difficult for anyone who grasps the reality that we should all be responsible for ourselves and not cry victim all the time. The liberal way of thinking 'let government be responsilble FOR you' is what is wrong. Conservatives are often labeled as being cold hearted for wanting individuals to learn to take care of themselves, but isn't it worse to want to hold people back by encouraging them NOT to take any responsibility for themselves?
It will be interesting to see how much they support and reach out to Cindy Sheehan now.

You should ask Rush about Mr. Fox. Rush helped the repubs lose the election. I hope Rush "touches" some more people in 2008 the same way.

When the criticism is unjust, like what Rush said about Fox, you can bet that I'm going to have issue with it. That is just propaganda, put out there to push through more republican agenda. Talk about fighting dirty, what is insulting a dying man whos trying to save his own and other lives?

After your boy Rush tried and failed to trivialize Parkinson's and how it was affecting Fox, no one said he was a 'victim'. He's sick and wants some help. And Rush and Bush and the rest of the right wing "our Christian soldiers are marching on" were dead wrong. Do you know anyone with Parkinson's? Have you followed the stem cell research that shows there may be help for folks with this disease? Or are you in the erstwhile Senator Frist and his video diagnosis crowd?
Leave it to a blow hard like Rush to politicize a debilitating illness.
