i had a fake bag bought for me by hubby he knows i like a particular designer and he bought me a bag (possibly not knowing how much i buy my bags for he may think he bought a genuine one) but it is a fake. I know he will be expecting me to use it but i do not wear fakes, what shall i tell him without hurting his feelings as he look quite chuffed when i opened it (Christmas present)

I do not wear fakes or buy into anything illegal. I have bought genuine bages that look like new even though they are used nearly daily.
Illegal downloads, glasses etc are a no no for me.

If the back looked real and was of quality materials then i could pretend to like it but it is 'synthetic'

Break the strap.....simple. Cram it full of all your bits and pieces, swing heartily around the room using one strap, if needed, ease a sharp knife into the lining cut a bit of stitching (just to help it on its way), then when it is broken, say "darling it was a wonderful thought, and I really did think it was the real thing, but its obviously a very good fake that just unfortunately didnt last as long as we expected).....add, "just think, if we had waited until the sales, we could have bought a "real" one which would last". I know exactly where you are coming from. I work just off Sloane Square and can spot a fake at 200 yards. My old man only just found out that I paid £350 for my Osprey bag 4 years ago, but the point to this is.....my £350 bag still looks as good as new, all the original lining in tack and I use it every working day. You get what you pay for - Quality. Go girl, dont expect anything less than the best...if its what you like, work hard and get it.

Maybe you don't wear illegal fakes because of moral issues. The same reasons some people don't download illegal music. If this is true, find out where he bought it and go there with the cops. Or just contact the manufacturer and give them the name and address of the place where it was purchased.

If it's because (as others have suggested) you're "stuck up", then your husband probably knows and didn't want to waste a lot of money on you. He may have given the real bag to his girlfriend instead.

there is not any such factor as a chit keep for Louis Vuitton. some human beings right here have not have been given any easily expertise of the products that they communicate of. Louis Vuitton does not wholesale, this suggests that the sole place to purchase real is rapidly form their boutiques. And to respond to your question: CHEESE. for confident. all people that owns real LV or is style knowledgeable can spot a pretend from 10' away. keep your self embarrassment and purchase an real one or purchase an exquisite non dressmaker bag somewhat.

William indignantly denied it; he said that he was clearing his eel trap in the nearby stream. But he was sent to the treadwheel in the Prisoners' Barracks for six months hard labour in chains, and then to the Bridgewater Road Gang. After that he went to Port Arthur, where he was first assigned to the timber carrying gang, then to the shoemaking shop. There he saw an overseer stabbed to death by a disturbed prisoner.

If it looks like a cheap bag then fair enough it might sound stuck up but i also but designer bags because they are also an investment.

But if u really don't want to wear it and u don't like it then u have to tell him it is only fair

Grow up! Appreciate what you have been given and stop buying into the very wasteful fashion industry. Who in their right mind pays over £1000 for a handbag? It's only a handbag! Appreciate the fact that your husband buys you a gift he thinks you will actually use and stop being so shallow and snobbish.

While I hate the wearing of designer goods, which I consider overpriced and pretentious, I have some sympathy for you. I would buy a new one, the same design, and switch. And hide your credit card statement.
If you get found out, explain it was a fake and you didn't want to hurt his feelings, because you really appreciated and loved the bag and you really appreciated the gift.
I think that's fair, don't you?

give it to a charity shop.even if it is fake. I'm sure your husband bought in good faith from a good source. you could tell him its not really your style ask for the receipt take it back and get a refund.if they refuse tell them that you will contact the fraud squad.
