they all try to act mocho or to "straight" in front of other people to impress others, to say Iam hear me! ect.. ect.. you get the picture.
or you could say others around them make them act they way they do.

The poor misguided gay men with internalized homophobia.
I hate that term. Its a highly sophisticated anti-gay slur that gay men themselves use because they believe in the sterotype that all gay men are flamboyant and effemenate while they themselves feel to be an exception.
Again, it comes out to meaning, What wrong with being gay acting that you feel you need to differentiate yourself from it? There is nothing wrong with it. Its just homophobic and sadly used by homosexuals. Everytime I hear a gay man say that, I always imagine tying them to the bumper of a truck and dragging them up a dirt road. Then tell them, "Now THAT, is straight-acting."

If you have to ask, odds are that you won't qualify.
The majority of guys that are "straight acting" aren't "acting" at all, they are being themselves. While it may be hard to determine whether or not one person is "gay" or not, those who put on an act to hide it are often the most obvious.

I expect it's a totally subjective assessment. What is "straight acting" to one may not be "straight acting" to another.

We the homo's do. We came up with the term. We use it all the time. We define STr8 acting with masculine personality traits. I myself am masculine and not a flaming queen, but I dont consider myself str8 acting.
