No, thanks. My in-laws have a place there, I get very confused about which side of the road I'm on over there and when I come back here - and I'm not alone. A while back I had just come off a motorway and the person in front of me went onto the wrong side of the road (to be fair, probably thought it was still duel).

The most hair-raising experience of my life was my first time driving on the 'wrong' side - the stretch of road between Tel Aviv and Jerusalem. The drivers are completely bonkers. And then there's India, where they just seem to drive all over the road. As for Italy,oh I could go on, and on...

So confusing all round. I think it should all be standardised the world over to left-hand drive! I like the history of it; it comes from horsemen in UK riding on the left so that their sword hand (for the right-handed) was free to whack their enemies coming in the other direction. Imagine having to hit someone across your horse's head - much harder. So how about it? All Europe & US change to the correct way?

No. My car is right hand drive, so a bit dangerous in France.

To be honest, I find France a bit dangerous to drive in even with a French car. French drivers seem to be even more insane than British drivers - and that's saying something!

I would love to drive a left hook car in the USA.

It would be quite an experience I think as I have only driven right hook cars.

Its funny you ask that, my fiance is from London, England. Everywhere we go together i drive. He sits in the passenger seat with his hand on the gear shifter all the time. When he does drive he never goes over 50 mph. Its funny to watch him.....
