While you were correct in stating personality has no color it is also a fact that culture and being part of any one group ethnic or other wise can and will in many cases produce a stereotypical way of acting within the group.Other factors include enviornment both within a family unit and friends. We tend to migrate to others we consider similar to ourselves. When the statement is made "All whites this" or "All African Americans that" is not factual and is based upon stereotypes however some traits are present including some language variables and I believe this is taught and not done by nature to ones race.

For everyone who said personality has no color but does have a stereotype that is very true. I couldn't agree with you more. We only perpetuate this by acknowledging that there is an "act black" and "act white" kind of personality. In a better world we could move ahead from this all use the right "words".

Ok, obviously personality has no color, but it's obvious that for the most part, whites and blacks have different (percived or not) ways of acting. It's becasue America is still somewhat segregated. The fact that blacks and whites have a different way of carrying themselves isn't a mattter of opinion. It's a straight up fact. Does Garth Brooks and Jay Z act alike? No. Does Steve Nash and Allen Iverson? Did Larry Bird and Magic Johnson? No. Thats just the way our society is. I guaruntee even the person who posted this question can tell the difference between a black person that grew up in Compton, and one that grew up in, say, Utah. I'm also sure she can tell when a white boy is trying to act black. Why? Because blacks and whites "act" different.

Really, where would you feel safer? Compton or the Hamptons
If you were thrown in prison would you rather be locked up with a cell full of whites or blacks? Which cell do you think you would be on your knees in five minutes in?
The world isn't perfect or equal only heaven is and there are good people of all colors, but when you speak in general expect a general answer.
