Some do more, some less, but there is no way to avoid it totally.... taking risks is an integral part of life because of the uncertainties of the future.

Pushing the limits is what makes our humanity living, vibrant & progressive.
You will never move forward till you find out what's on the other side, and that means taking risks - preferably calculated.

Because it is fun? Because it makes them feel alive to test limits? Because they are reckless? Because they have a death-wish?
I do not know. Those were just some guesses that came to mind that might answer your somewhat ambiguous question.
Push their luck in what way? using drugs? driving too fast? gambling? cheating on their spouses? cheating on their taxes? being disrespectful to an abusive husband? teasing a mean dog? jumping off cliffs? smoking?
Sorry, I mean no disrespect but I do go on and on.

Because we only have 1 life to make choices. When the opportunity comes along, it's best to take it. it may never come along again. It's better to live and learn then to not live and regret.
