i want to convert files from .mov to format suitable to burn on cd for vcd player. i'm using Super (a free decoder that can convert almost anything). i'm thinking to convert them into .dat extension but it's not in the Super's output list (which is kind of weird!). What format is suitable. I'm making video for my parents who knows nothing about computers and tech stuff, so that they can simply put the cd in and press play.
Should i burn the files in normal cd (cd+r,cd-r,etc..) or something else for vcd player?
what's the best (and simple..for beginners) video editing program that accepts all video format? i tried using Windows Movie Maker but it only accepts windows format,so i have to first convert the .mov into .mpg and then other format for vcd. This seems kind of difficult..
