Can I extend the size of a Sewing Pattern?

If I buy this pattern for a fur shrug that goes up to a size 20, is there a way I can take the size a little bit up to fit me, because i have huge breast, and dont know if the 20 will be alright. So i was aiming for a 20.

All sewing patterns can be adjusted within reason. I have a book called Reader's Digest Complete Guide To Sewing and shows how to adjust all sorts of stuff. You might also want to check at a sewing store. they might be able to help you out.
