Because time flies when you having fun.
And time crawl when you not.
Put simply... when people enjoy themself... they forget about what time it is.
When they have to do something they hate... they constantly look at their watch... as they cannot wait to get out of there.
Your awareness of what time it is makes the time slow down. The more you think about the time... the slower it gets.
Why is that?... Because time is actually slow...

Actually, life is never static. It is always changing. You only have "control" over part of it. The bad times don't necessarily last any longer than the good times. Part of it is just your relative interpretation of time.
We want to "hang on" to the good times. We always want a good emotion/feeling to last longer.
And, by contrast, we don't willingly experience pain any longer than we have to. That's why man invented pain killers and anti-depressants. We just want the pain to go away as quickly as possible.

Relativity!!! If you are having fun for 30 minutes, it will seem to pass much more quickly than if you were standing there with your hand on a hot stove burner, for the same time duration!
