firstly is it possible to extend pipe to an existing out let ..in some areas it is allowed to discharge surface water into foul drain providing it passes through a trapped gully ..this is to stop smells coming back through system ..you can have a word with building control in your area they are very helpful ..if you have to dig a soak away it must be at least 5 metre's from building an it should be at least 1500mm deep by 1 metre square filled with hard core and pipe entering from top cover hardcore with polythene or membrane ..to prevent soil from clogging hardcore then cover top with soil or grass

Hi there.
The best way is to dig a trench to the existing grid.If you cannot do this you will need to dig a hole at least 1 sq mtr but away from the building filled with stone and linked with a trench so it wont affect your foundations. But if your soil is clay the water will not drain away.It's best to link in to an existing drain.

Go to Lowes or Home Depot They have the concrete runaways and the plastic rain tube thing.
