one of the PA s when she comes in today. Should I call her in and give her give her a long speech on how its not working out or should I just tell her to clear her desk and leave the building?. I just love firing people it makes the weekend so enjoyable

Hey Mr Darcy, you know I am also a PA so if you do need someone to replace her, let me know, I'd love to come back to the home land of my parents and work in the same company as you, then we could sneak off into a little office 10 times a day for hugs x

Well as always with giving back feedback to someone, start with a something positive, 'I personally have enjoyed working with you, you've been a great source of help, but unfortunately the dynamics within the rest of the department don't quite work and I'm sorry but this just doesn't seem to be working out. bla bla. End with a suggestion like 'your skills can take you to bigger and better things ' 'you might be more suited to....' - remember her ego will be bruised and her feelings hurt... expect tears. At least throw in some positives if you can.

If you're going to fire someone, it should be on a Friday at the end of the day before they leave. There's less chance of an incident the next day. This is assuming the person works on weekdays only.

If you love firing people, you will know how to get maximum pleasure from the experience without advice from anyone else. So do whatever makes you happy, and don't assume that she will be unhappy either. Remember she no longer has to work with a tosspot like you.

No long speeches. Explain why she is being fired, don't sympathise. Ask her to clear her desk and let he say goodbye to her colleagues.

Well it is Friday, go on and spoil her weekend give her the clear your desk one, why waste time talking when the end result is the same, besides it is more fun!!!!!!

Well seeing as how you like firing people, go with your first option this should satisfy your ego more and don't worry they'll love you for it especially when you're in their position one day...................

makes sure she has a hot cup of tea in her hand, then she can throw it is your face as your probably deserve it.
