put it in the dishwasher and then let it COMPLETLEY dry before plugging back in. DONT use heat cycle. to speed up the drying process pop out the keys.
since its a laptop keyboard make sure you know how to take it apart from the computer. obviously dont put the whole laptop in the washer.
This may be risky considering its a laptop keyboard with it works great for a non-laptop keyboard.

DISHWASHER????
The chemicals in dishwasher soap will rot the connectors and switches.
Two things that are safe to try... well, given that you have to take the keyboard off the laptop...
1) Rinse (DO NOT SOAK) the keyboard well with distilled water then let it dry for ages in an airing cupboard / somewhere no warmer than about 50 centigrade. Ages means days.
2) Buy a replacement keyboard (Dell charge a lot for these... but sometimes youcan get 'em on ebay / from parts brokers)
Then if you are in the habit of irrigating your keyboard get one of those transparent keyboard skins to prevent wet getting into it.
And then say something appropriate that you didn't get lemonade into the electricals under the keyboard or it would be a fritzed lappy.

it truly is a accepted time as against fee challenge. Are you prepared to spend probably some hours dismantling, cleansing and reassembling your keyboard or might want to you quite spend 15/0.5-hour utilizing all the way down to the shops and getting a most suitable new sparkling one.also what change into your son doing ingesting close for your computing gadget, even if it truly is a operating laptop or computer you've tempted destiny and probably lost more suitable than only a drink of lemonade.

The best bet at this point is to take it into the shop. Using it this way will only cause more problems because the membranes that make the key matrix will eventually wear from you repeatedly whacking on keys to get it to work properly! You will then be payin big ducks! Take it in now and hopefully the tech can open it and clean the crap from the membranes without having to replace anything! I hope you arent seriously dumb enuff to use the above idiots advice by the way!

Personally I would not put any thing electronic in the dishwasher there is a good chance of ruining it. I would get a bottle of Isopropyl Alcohol and a paper towel to clean the keys
